Seven-spot Ladybird on Umbel

Seven-spot ladybird (Coccinella septempunctata) sits on a cluster of small pale-lilac umbel flowers. The glossy red shell with black spots contrasts with the tiny lavender blossoms, lit from the side and framed against a smooth, out-of-focus dark background. A narrow highlight runs along the beetle's elytra and several flower centers show tiny orange anthers.
