Old Bracket Fungus on Twig

Old bracket fungus sits attached to a thin twig and layered over a decaying piece of wood. The photograph shows brown and black concentric bands and tan edges under soft, even light with a very shallow depth of field that blurs the background. A thin twig appears to pierce the cap and small white spore flecks are visible on the surface.
