Pixie Cup Lichen on Log

Pixie cup lichen growing across a weathered wooden log near the lower edge of the frame. Pale gray-green cup structures with dark brown interiors cluster in the foreground, lit by soft diffuse daylight and photographed with a very shallow depth of field so only the nearest cups are sharp. Small bright yellow lichen flecks are scattered among the cups in the wood grain.
