Echinacea purpurea Bud

Echinacea purpurea bud sits near the lower-right of the frame with its central disk still closed. Muted green foliage fills the background while the bud shows a dark brown spiraled disk surrounded by pale, fuzzy bracts under soft natural light and shallow focus. The disk reveals a tight spiral and the bracts are edged with fine hairs.
