Shelf Polypore on Tree Stump

A shelf polypore fungus sits attached to the top edge of a weathered tree stump near the center of the frame. The fungus displays a warm beige, porous underside set against dark gray, fissured wood and a soft green bokeh background. The fine pore texture under the shelf and small patches of lichen on the stump are clearly visible in the crop.
