Dried Daisy Seed Head

A dried daisy seed head sits near the lower right of the frame on its stem. The picture is rendered in black-and-white with soft, even lighting and a shallow depth of field that keeps the background smooth and out of focus. The petals read as papery strips with fibrous ridges and tiny frayed hairs along their edges.
