Club-shaped Fungus Fruit Bodies

A club-shaped fungus fruit body rises from leaf litter at ground level. The forms are dark brown to charcoal, lit from the side and shot with tight horizontal framing and a shallow depth of field. The surface shows a cracked, pebbled texture with fine soil packed into the crevices.
