Pale Cicadellid on Vein

A pale leafhopper (a cicadellid) sits on a dried, veined leaf at the lower edge of the frame. The insect's tan body and translucent wings are lit by soft warm light, with a very shallow depth of field that keeps the head and antennae sharp against a smooth brown background. The antenna tip shows small brown speckles that are clearly visible in this close crop.
