Crane Fly on Palm Frond

A crane fly rests on a horizontal palm frond near the lower right of the frame. The photograph shows pale and mid greens with a soft orange blur in the background, lit by even daylight and shot with a very shallow depth of field so the insect is isolated from the large diagonal leaves. The fly's long legs, segmented abdomen, and fine antennae are clearly visible against the glossy leaf surface.
