Green Stick Insect Nymph

A green stick insect nymph clings to a thin brown twig. The glossy green body has red mottling and tiny hairs; the shallow depth of field keeps the head, one leg, and the antennae in sharp focus against a blurred blue-gray background. Minute spine-like hairs line the legs and an orange-red compound eye is visible near the frame's lower right.
