Phlox with Star Eye

A phlox bloom sits in the foreground, facing the camera. The central bloom shows five rose-pink lobes with a darker magenta star-shaped ring and a yellow, pollen-filled center, lit by soft daylight and framed by a very shallow depth of field that blurs the surrounding plants. One lobe has a pale scuff on its edge and the yellow center shows visible pollen granules.
