Harlequin Ladybird on Twig

A harlequin ladybird (Harmonia axyridis) clings to a rough twig beside a slanted blade of grass. The insect shows orange-red elytra with black spots and a pale, patterned head, photographed in soft diffuse light with a very shallow depth of field. Tiny water droplets coat the grass blade and the twig's lichen-like texture is visible under the beetle.
