Asian Lady Beetle on Bark

Asian lady beetle (Harmonia axyridis) rests on a piece of dry plant debris at ground level among slender green blades. Its red shell with black spots and a white-and-black head contrast with a softly blurred green and pink background in diffuse daylight; the shallow focus keeps most of the frame out of focus. A small water droplet clings to a nearby blade.
