Female Mallard on Granite

A female mallard duck is curled up sleeping on a granite ledge at the edge of a reflecting pool. The photograph is black-and-white, with the duck sharp in the lower foreground and the Lincoln Memorial blurred across the pool. You can see the feather pattern and the speckled texture of the granite beside a thin sheet of falling water.
