Fortune atop the Gold Globe

The bronze figures of two Atlases support a large orb topped by the figure of Fortune on the Punta della Dogana. The weathered green of the statues and the matte gold of the sphere stand out against a flat, overcast sky and the pale stone of the custom house tower. Small sculpted faces are visible on the stone cornices directly below the bronze sculpture.
