Bracket Polypore on Bark

A bracket polypore sits on rough bark and is photographed from beneath. Rendered in black-and-white, the pale porous underside occupies the right side while darker, textured bark fills the left, with light grazing the curved margin. A ragged seam of torn pores runs along the contact line where fungus meets bark.
