Doge's Palace brick façade

The Doge's Palace brick façade in Venice rises above a row of carved marble arches. Reddish-brown bricks fill most of the frame, punctuated by pale stone window surrounds and a narrow band of blue sky; the scene is evenly illuminated with cool tones. A metal rainpipe projects from the cornice and the upper windows show circular leaded panes.
