Pleurotus ostreatus Cap Underside

A Pleurotus ostreatus cap sits with its gills facing the camera. The photograph shows creamy off-white gills and warm beige undersides lit by soft, diffuse backlight, with a shallow depth of field that blurs the far edges against a dark green background. Several gill edges appear thin and translucent and a small torn tip is visible near the lower right.
