Radiator Fin with Paint Flakes

A cast-iron radiator fin sits edge-on in the frame with a small pile of peeling paint resting on one horizontal ridge. The image is mostly black and dark brown with a narrow band of neutral light behind; a very shallow focus leaves the nearest fin and flakes sharp while the rows behind blur into vertical lines. A thin vertical thread of lint runs down the left edge and catches a sliver of light.
