Red Plant Gall on Twig

A red plant gall sits attached to a thin woody twig next to several smaller spherical growths. The close-up shows red and pink tones on the gall, a fuzzy, hairlike surface and a clear bead of liquid, set against a heavily blurred brown-green background. At the point where the gall meets the twig you can see crinkled bark and small crusted residues.
