Sawn Palm Trunk Cross-Section

A sawn palm trunk cross-section sits nestled among split layers of the same trunk. The photo shows reddish-brown concentric rings and coarse fibrous hairs under subdued, directional light, framed tightly in a vertical close-up. A thin pale vein runs diagonally across the rings and small white flecks dot the upper edge.
