Robber Fly on Fencepost

A robber fly sits on the edge of a weathered wooden fencepost facing the camera. The insect's large iridescent compound eyes and orange legs are sharply focused against a soft, out-of-focus neutral background lit from the side. Fine facial hairs and the hooked mouthparts are clearly visible in the close-up.
