Crowned Madonna and Child Statue

A crowned marble Madonna and Child statue holds the infant on her arm inside a carved niche. The white marble faces and drapery are lit from above while gilded, gem-set crowns and a pink-veined marble backdrop provide small warm highlights; the frame is cropped tightly around their upper bodies. A string of rosary beads trails over the child's hand and the mother's lap.
