Marble Statue of Saint Sebastian

A marble statue of Saint Sebastian stands in a church niche, his torso pierced by arrows and his body arched beneath an ornate arch. The pale ivory figure is set against red-veined marble, flanked by two tall polished black columns and topped by a gilded coffered ceiling lit from above. A carved cherub and decorative faces sit on the cornice above the niche, and the arrows on the chest catch the light.
