Oak Leaf Frozen in Ice

An orange-brown oak leaf lies trapped beneath a thin sheet of dark ice. Warm amber tones of the leaf contrast with a nearly black surface, while mottled white frost and soft reflected highlights frame the shape. Small round air bubbles and granular frost collect above the midrib and are visible in the ice.
