Yellow Bonnet Mushrooms on Mulch

Small yellow-brown mushrooms grow from wood mulch and decaying twigs at the base of evergreen foliage. Their caps are warm ochre and tan, softly lit from above against deep evergreen fronds and a dim background, with the tallest stems placed low in the frame. A tiny ant sits on the rim of the central cap.
