Turkey-Tail Bracket Fungus on Trunk

Turkey-tail bracket fungus is growing in clustered shelf-like rosettes on the side of a tree trunk beneath several thin branches. The fungus shows concentric bands of beige, tan and cream against dark rough bark, with an overcast sky and a shallow depth of field that blurs the background foliage. Tiny pale flecks and scalloped cap edges are visible on the nearest shelves.
