Tree Bark with Mycelium

Tree bark with orange fungal mycelium is shown in an extreme close-up, occupying the central plane of the frame. The image shows warm orange fibers, pale beige nodules and cool gray bark against deep black cavities, all photographed with very shallow focus and soft light. Fine, spiderweb-like strands and small round beads are visible tucked into the bark's pores.
