Bell-Shaped Mushroom Caps

Bell-shaped mushroom caps grow clustered on a small piece of wood. The black-and-white photograph uses a narrow depth of field so only the ribbed cap edges catch bright highlights while the background blurs to soft gray. Tiny soil particles cling to the frilled margin and faint vertical striations run down the caps.
