Weathered Green Window Shutters

Weathered green window shutters sit closed in a recessed opening of a crumbling brick wall. Pale green paint has peeled away to reveal dark wood grain; rusted iron hinges and a rough wooden lintel catch angled sunlight, and a narrow metal planter with terracotta pots and succulents runs beneath the sill. A vertical seam where the two shutters meet shows darker, almost blackened wood and a line of old nail holes.
