Salvia Flower Spikes

Salvia flower spikes rise from a garden bed toward the camera. The blue-violet blossoms appear in cool, even light and are framed with a shallow depth of field that leaves a house and surrounding foliage softly blurred. Several stems show dried calyces and a fine fuzz on the petals and stems, adding visible texture.
