Moss-Covered Log

Moss-covered log sits curved across the frame, its surface colonized by moss and pale lichen. The picture shows deep olive moss, pale gray lichen and dark wood tones under soft directional light, shot with a very shallow depth of field so the foreground and background fall out of focus. A tangle of thin fibrous roots threads through a hollow at the center of the image.
