Marble Male Statue at San Marco

A marble male statue stands on the terrace of St. Mark's Basilica facing the basilica's brick facade and domes. The image shows pale gray marble against warm terracotta brick and silvery, weathered domes under a pale blue sky, framed vertically with the statue in the foreground. The statue's back and the domes both show streaked dark stains and patina that link foreground and background surfaces.
