Rock Pigeon on Stone Pediment

A rock pigeon perches on the horizontal ledge of a classical stone pediment above a large doorway. The carved stone is pale gray with weathered stains and the round bronze relief below shows a green patina; the frame is shot frontally and centered. Small streaks and droppings mark the ledge and the bird's neck catches a slight greenish sheen in the light.
