Bird's Nest Fungus Cups

Bird's nest fungus cups sit on damp wood debris, each cup holding several round peridioles. The image shows pale beige peridioles inside fibrous tan and gray cups, lit from the side against a dark background with a shallow depth of field. A small water droplet clings to the rim of one cup.
