Gilded Carved Coffered Ceiling

A gilded carved coffered ceiling fills the frame, its parallel wooden beams running vertically above a painted religious panel. Warm gold highlights and dark brown patterned inlay are lit from the side, and the frame emphasizes the repeating vertical ribs and an ornate cornice. You can see sculpted corbels and dentil molding along the upper edge of the composition.
