Wrinkled Gilled Fungus Caps

Wrinkled gilled fungus caps sit clustered on decomposing wood and leaf litter at ground level. The scene shows russet, tan and beige tones with soft backlighting and a very shallow depth of field that isolates the foreground. The caps' folded, almost ribbon-like gills and slightly translucent edges are clearly visible in the frame.
