Syrphid Hoverfly on Seedhead

A syrphid hoverfly is perched on the tip of a small seedhead. The insect shows a yellow-striped thorax and dark compound eyes against a smooth, deep green out-of-focus background, placed low and slightly right in the frame under soft natural light. Tiny water droplets cling to its legs.
