American Goldfinch on Twig

An American goldfinch perches on a thin bare twig near the lower left of the frame. Its pale yellow body and black-and-white wing markings are caught in backlight while the background falls soft and out of focus with round bokeh. A second, dark-capped bird sits below, partially blurred but clearly visible in the composition.
