Peeling Tree Bark Close-Up

Peeling tree bark covers a vertical dead branch, clinging in ragged strips around the exposed wood. The image shows muted gray, tan and beige tones with strong backlight that edges the ridges and a very shallow depth of field isolating a narrow column. Tiny lichen patches and knobby broken stubs are visible on the surface.
