Purple Crocus Bud

A purple crocus bud sits upright on its slender stem near the center of the frame. The closed petals show violet to lavender tones lit from the front and set against a deep black background, with the stem and lower leaves falling out of focus. Tiny hairs and a few water droplets are visible on the small leaves at the base.
