Curled Daisy Seed Head

A curled daisy seed head droops at the end of its stem. The dried disc and remaining narrow petals are gray-beige with a faint metallic sheen, lit from above against a dark, out-of-focus background. The central disk shows dozens of small cup-like sockets while the petals twist into ribbonlike strands.
