Ripe Blackberry Cluster with Fruit Flies

Ripe blackberry cluster sits on its stem with several small fruit flies feeding on the druplets. The berries are glossy black-purple with bright orange fly bodies and red eyes, shot in soft natural light against a blurred foliage background. A few druplets show tiny feeding punctures and the flies' iridescent wings catch highlights on the berry surfaces.
