Robber Fly with Green Eyes

A robber fly perches on the edge of weathered wood, facing the camera. Its large green compound eyes fill the lower center of the frame while the background blurs into a soft dark green and the wooden perch reads gray and textured. You can see fine facial bristles above its mouthparts and the orange-brown legs at the bottom of the frame, and the frontal angle makes it appear to stare at the lens.
