Brown Toadstools on Wood Chips
Brown toadstools sit clustered among shredded wood chips at ground level. The caps range from warm tan to russet and are set against dark gray bark and a large blurred stone; soft, even light and a shallow depth of field isolate the middle group. One cap is tilted to reveal pale gills and the stems show fine fibrous texture against the bark.
