Yellow Jacket on Purple Flowers

A yellow jacket wasp perches on a cluster of small purple flowers, facing the camera. Its yellow-and-black body and orange antennae contrast with the pale purple flowers; a shallow depth of field keeps the background soft and out of focus. You can see the wasp's textured compound eyes and its forelegs gripping the flowers.
