Rusted Mooring Ring on Quay

A rusted mooring ring and a short length of chain are fixed into a weathered stone quay at the water's edge. The metal shows mottled brown and orange corrosion against beige-gray masonry, with green algae near the base; soft daylight and a shallow depth of field blur the canal behind. Heavy pitting on the ring and a flake of white mortar at the mount show long exposure to the water.
