Star-Shaped Plant Whorl

Star-shaped plant whorl sits at the tip of a thin stem. The photograph is black-and-white with side light and a very shallow depth of field, leaving the background dark and soft. A velvety texture is visible on the narrow segments and a second blurred whorl appears in the upper left.
