Gills of a Fungus Cap

Gills of a fungus cap fill the lower half of the frame, photographed from an oblique underside view. The image is rendered in black-and-white with bright highlights along the cap edge, mid-gray tones in the gill folds, and a shallow depth of field that leaves the background soft and out of focus. A thin twig lies across the rim at the right edge of the cap.
