Pleated Mushroom Cap with Insect

A pleated mushroom cap sits low among grass blades with a tiny white insect on its crown. The photo is black-and-white with a dark background, pale gray highlights on the cap, and a shallow depth of field that leaves surrounding stems soft and blurred. The cap's radial grooves are sharply textured and the insect is visible as a pinhead on the summit.
